My summer was...

...fun & relaxing. I spent time with my boys, ages 2, 11 and 39. We enjoyed our leisurely days sleeping in, playing outside and playing with friends. Being an aspiring, (vegetarian) gourmet cook, I experimentd with different recipes and hosted a couple of parties, including a sushi party! I took a road trip to San Antonio with a friend, had minor hand surgery and painted the living room (with my other hand). One of the most memorable events of the summer was a juried art exhibition I participated in along with Mrs. Pascual from the 9th grade campus. My piece, entitled, "Anticipation" hung at the M2 Gallery in the heights from July 4-29. We celebrated at the opening reception on July 7th. I'm currently working on some other pieces for another exhibition to be held in the spring. I will definitely keep everyone posted. Explaination of pics: 1) sushi I made 2) my 2-yr-old loves "soosie!" 3) me and my friend at the "Light" exhibition opening; I'm standing in front of my piece. 4) My hubby and I are out with some friends.
